NEW REPORT: Trump is BEGGING Iran for talks — and they’re not taking his calls.
Here’s another reality check for anyone still believing the Trump administration’s spin about this disastrous war.
According to a major report by Drop Site, Trump’s own special envoy Steve Witkoff has been privately reaching out to Iran trying to start negotiations on behalf of the United States.
And Iran has been ignoring him completely.
While Trump has been going on TV claiming that Iran is “begging” to negotiate and making offers to end the war, officials in Tehran say the opposite is happening. Trump’s envoy has reportedly been texting Iran’s foreign minister trying to open talks—and Iran isn’t even responding.
So the story the Trump administration has been selling the public—that Iran is desperate for a deal and Trump is heroically holding out—appears to be pure fiction.
In reality, the United States launched a war after Iran had already been negotiating and had reportedly conceded on most key points. Then the bombing started.
Now Trump is publicly bragging that Iran’s military has been “100 percent destroyed” while privately trying to get them to talk.
If you actually destroyed your opponent and already “won,” you don’t send envoys begging for negotiations that get ignored.
It also explains why Trump has suddenly been demanding that NATO, China, and other countries send ships to bail him out in the Strait of Hormuz after he spent the last year insulting and alienating those same allies.
This entire situation is a mess of Trump’s own making: a reckless war, collapsing diplomacy, rising global oil prices, and a president who can’t even get the other side to return his calls.
And now the administration is trying to rewrite reality while the rest of the world watches the chaos.
Trump keeps saying he already won.
If that’s true, someone should probably tell his envoy to stop texting Iran looking for a way out.
