The Wall Street Journal reports that Trump and his team have decided it would be possible to deploy US troops inside central Iran, establish a safe perimeter, load 1,000 pounds of uranium onto special transportation trucks, and somehow safely fly it out of Iran. It is not.“Engineers would also need specialized equipment, all of which would need to be flown in, likely under fire, and then perimeters would need to be established around the nuclear site and a makeshift airfield set up,” said the WSJ.This is pure, unfettered madness that would put our soldiers into a meat grinder of hardened Iranian defenses, missiles, drone attacks, and battle-tested IRGC troops with combat experience from the Syrian Civil War. The fact that it's even being considered at all should be a terrifying warning to us and the rest of the world about how out of touch with reality the Trump administration is – and how reckless they’re willing to be with the lives of our servicemembers.
