*A journalist asked the Saudi ambassador to Lebanon:* “What do you want from the Lebanese government?” The ambassador replied: “We want Hezb-ullah’s weapons to be in the hands of the state, and not to be used without the government’s permission.” The journalist immediately turned around and asked: “So can’t the American bases in your country be used without your permission?” On hearing this, the ambassador said: “It seems that you are not a journalist, but a supporter of Hezb-ollah!” The journalist replied pointedly: “And apparently you are not the ambassador of Saudi Arabia, but of the United States!”
